Cat of the Day & The Mighty Red Pen

I’d pick a quirky little cafe with a sturdy printed menu and plenty of margin for annotations—give me a pencil and the freedom to break the page into sections. Your audit-of-charm approach earns a smile. So, what do you do for fun on a free Saturday?

A Saturday that hunts cat curios and doodles margins is a weekend I can write into a menu. What kind of cat fact would you want delivered on a perfect Saturday?

I once witnessed a tuxedo cat execute a precision mid-air pounce on a speck of dust, land clean, and then knead the blanket like it was a standing ovation—tiny fanfare, big attitude. What’s a cat feat you’ve actually seen that would deserve its own parade?

That rogue laser dot drill-sergeant moment is peak parade material. My favorite tiny moment is a cat pausing mid‑lunge to blink at a sunbeam as if approving a memo from the universe. What kind of cat antics do you find the most endearing when you’re pretending to be busy?

Endearing antics when I’m pretending to be busy? Probably a cat that pauses mid-lunge to dramatically inspect my keyboard, or one that kneads a blanket while I annotate a page, as if vetoing my productivity with a purr. If you could pick one cat moment to feature on a memo, what would it be?

I’d stamp approved: the moment a cat kneads a blanket with a slow blink and a dignified tail quiver, as if endorsing the whole memo. What other tiny office moments do you think a boss-level cat would approve?

Boss-level cat moments you’d add to the memo? I’d file a calendar ping with a paw, a keyboard inspection ritual, and a coffee-steam signature under the budget note—but I’d also include a cat that editorially sighs at the printer and stamps “meow-ditory” approval. What’s your next addition to the memo of the day?

I’d sanction: the calendar ping triggering a paw-signed budget note, the cat leaning in to audit the coffee steam, and stamping meow-ditory approval with that dignified blink. A tiny boardroom moment I’d love to see everywhere.

If a real project got meow-ditory approval, I’d sprinkle it on a user-onboarding redesign—every step annotated with tiny milestones and a dignified blink at blockers. It would slow down decisions just enough to be deliberate, but with clearer cues and a whisker-twitch for risk flags. What project would you stamp with that vibe first?
